Rensselaer Ind Feb 17th 1865
Dear Pa
We received a letter from
you yesterday the first we have
got for more than a week.
We are all pretty well but
Ma who has been confined to
her bed for 3 or 4 days. Walter
has a bad could. We have had
pretty wet weather it snowed
considerably last night but it
has very near all melted to day.
In Frank Leslie’s illustrated
newspaper of this month there
is a picture of the Logan house
which you had your headquarters
in at Winchester. Gen Sheridan has
it now for his head quarters.
