I believe I have
recd two letters from you since I
last wrote you. I recd your last of the
12th & 15th inst. last night. I was much
pleased to hear that had got your
new carriage & that it is a source of some
enjoyment to you & the children. I hope you
will succeed in getting a couple of match
ponies to put to the carriage & I feel than-
kful that you & the children have got
along through the summer so far with so
little sickness & that Val and Walters little
brashes were no worse. You start to Delphi
in the morning according to your appointm-
ent. I hope you will have a pleasant
visit. I started on last Wednesday
a week ago to visit all the posts and
stockades in my command along the
line of the R. R. South of this. I got a
39.6 cm x 24.9 cm unfolded; 19.8 cm x 24.9 cm for single sheet
