I received your letter of Dec 25th
last evening. You complain of our not writing
we have not faild to write every week since I
received your first letter. The box of New years
presents for the boys has not come yet.
They are delighted with the prospect of geting
a box of so many nice presents, and are very
impatient to receive them. I have just asked the
boys what I shall write to Pa for them. They
write thanking you for being so good
and kind as to send them so many nice
presents. Brucy says when he gets a big boy then
he will write to Pap Pa. Walter wants Pa to come
home and stay at home, and says that he wants
you to write him a letter about that picture
he sent you.
Our folks are going to have a
very cold snowy windy disagreeable night
for our concert which was intended for the
benefit of the poor of our place.
You say that you expect I will like
scolding you for spending so much
money to ammuse the children, but no
my dear Robert. I like to please the
Children too and anything Pa sends is
a great treat to the children.
