To all who shall see these Presents, Greeting: 
 
 
 
Know Ye, That in the name and by the authority of the 
State of Indiana, I do hereby appoint and commission Robert 
              H. Milroy, Judge of the eighth Judi- 
              cial Circuit of the State of Indiana, 
              to serve as such from the 27th day of 
             August, 1852 until his successor is elect- 
              ed and qualified – and to fill the va- 
             cancy caused by the resignation of Horace 
             P. Biddle. 
 
 
 
               In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand 
                   and caused to be affixed the Seal of the 
                   State, at the City of Indianapolis, this 
                    20th       day of           August ,  A. 
                     D. 1852, the thirty seventh year of 
                     the State, and of the Independence of the
