Dear Pa
I would like to see you very
much. I have been very sick with the measels for too weeks.
I get along very well at school. Val Walter and Brucy
have all had the measles to. Ben is getting a long very well he can
spell and read a little. it is very wet where
but it is not as bad here as you say it is where you are.
John Simons of the 9th came home last week with the
body of Mr. Hamond who died with the measles.
Mr. Cromwell has not got done the wood house yet
it is very lonesome without you. Mr Tomson has been very
sick with the measles. our little cow gives milk yet and
she is a firstrate little cow. Our chickens lay eggs
in the wood house. we have a new chicken house
and corn crib. we are getting along very well. I think
the snow is all gowing away now. I hope I will
be well enough to go to school next week. I get tired
being sick.
