My dear Mary,
Your letters of the 6th,
16th & 23rd & 4th ult have all been recd.. Yours of
the 16th ult enclosed one from Ella. I have
also recd. one from Cicero of the 18th ult
which was recd. by the same mail that
brought me yours of the 6th ult. which
came near a week ago. Yours of the 16th
& 23rd & 4th were recd. two days ago by
the same mail. These letters did me
a world of good & brought me a world
of relief & comfort. I feared that you
was sick and thus prevented from writing &
was very uneasy to hear from the children.
I have delayed writing until some mov-
ement was determined on that. I might
inform you which way we were going
& what we were going to do, but having
got out of all patience waiting for
orders & knowing that you too would be out
of patience to receive a letter from me. I
have concluded to wait no longer. That I
have nothing of special interest to write
about. It has now been over 20 days since
Handwritten; 11 pages, double folded on white stationery with light-blue lines
