My Dear Robert
My heart was made glad
this morning by the reception of your letter
of July 4th, and I cannot blame you for
for feeling like scolding us for not
writing oftener, as I know it does you a
world of good to get a letter from home.
for I become so impatient when I do
not get a letter at the time expected
that I can hardly wait untill the
mail comes in from day to day,
and every day the disappointment becom
-es greater until the long looked for letter
arrives, but indeed Robert so much of
the time I have been worn and weary and
physically exhausted, trying to keep up
the interests of home, that I have been
unable to write as often as I would like to
have done. I assure you that I am by no
means an idler seeking my own pleasure
other than at home. I have felt that it
