Dear Frank.
I got your letter the other day and sure was glad to hear from you, and glad to hear that you, your wife, and family are getting along good, I am O.K. and feeling fine my wife and family are getting along fine. tell mr. Smith and his wife hello, How is Forrest, Elmer, Jim, and the rest of them I said hello? and hope they are all well. my wife says she has got her garden out now and it sure looks pretty, How is mr. Smith getting along with his farming? alright I hope. the last letter I got from you, you was having alot of rain, it makes it bad when you get behind in your work, and not much help. we are getting lots of rain in France now to. Frank are you still working at the plant? you should be set pretty good, as long as you have been working there. well I hope to be out of the army pretty soon on the point system, I have got 99 points, but I don't know how soon that will be, I haven't seen home for two years and a half now it sure seems along time, when you are over seas for two years, but I guess I am lucky, that I am still alive, all of the men we lost
