Transcript	The Campus Crier Published at Central Normal College Volume V. Danville, Indiana October 28, 1932 No. 9 FROM DR. REIBOLD'S NOTEBOOK "Coming events cast their shadows before them." The Staff that issues "The Campus Crier" has much to encourage them. In addition to the marked evidence of the service the periodical is rendering C.N.C. it is having a wholesome influence elsewhere. The alumni who having served on the local Staff, and having learned by practical experience the value and the art of issuing such a periodical, have established a similar paper in the high schools with which they are associated as members of the faculty. Slowly "The Campus Crier" is growing. Bit by bit it is improved. Little by little its influence increases for good. From present conditions we may safely predict for our college paper a bright and successful future. Its story in a few years later will read much like that of Elijah's cloud which was the size of a man's hand yet soon grew to a storm to end a drought of years. My friends, we owe the Staff our good-will and honest support. It requires a lot of hard labor it issue this paper. It also costs some money. It must have our help. Let us place our shoulder to the wheel and push. I am sure it would help you to appreciate how worthy the Staff is of you assistance if you could see them get out one of its issues. Support these good friends of C.N.C. HALLOWE'EN The pass-word is "Fun". Come park your troubles at the door and join the group of merry-makers at the gym at 7:30 tonight. Ghosts walk, spirits speak, weird creatures creep and grotesque goblins glare. Come in your most disguising "bib and tucker" and hob-nob with hob-goblins all evening. Clarence Pierce is general chairman of the Mixer and has several efficient helpers. Gene Ross is in charge of the lighting; Dr. John Niswander will perform a very delegate operation, and you will hear and see that which you have never experienced before. Your fortune will be told by a wispy witch if you cross her palm with--one copper! For the prettiest costume, for the most comical creature, for the most horrid hag and for the most disguised faculty member there will be prizes. The judges of the students will be members of the faculty: Dr. Wood, Miss Watts, Prof. Winfrey. The judges of the faculty will be Armyn Whittinghill, Bob Ruch, and Doris Armstrong. During the summer it was possible to sponsor these Mixers free of charge for the enjoyment of the students of C.N.C. However, it is now impossible for the school to sponsor them all winter. We feel the need of such entertainment, however, and in order that the Students Activities Council may continue to offer these entertainments for your enjoyment it is necessary that a nominal charge of ten cents be made. PHYSICS TEACHERS' CONFERENCE October 28 and 29 will be red letter days in the history of C.N.C. The Association of Indiana College Physics Teachers will hold its first session at 3:00 P.M. this afternoon with Professor Steinbach, president of the association, in charge. The address of welcome will be given by Leslie I. Steinbach and papers will be presented by R. H. Westbrook, R. R. Ramsey, R. B. Abbott, T. A. Hunter, Arthur L. Foley, M. W. Wood, B. A. Howlett, K. Lark-Horovitz, H. A. Moench, H. J. Yearian, J. F. Mackell, and O. H. Smith. Dinner will be served at 6:30 at the House-By-The-Side-Of-The-Road. Central Normal welcomes these visitors and opens wide her doors to the association. VOTE AT THE ELECTION WEDNESDAY "The College of Friendly Folk"
