[[Writen in Margins] Clayvillage Fy} 5 Feb 18 Mr John Nichols Bloomington Monroe County In] Shelby County Clayvillage Ky Feb 18 th 1846 Dear Brother + Sister I take this opportunity to Write to you + let you know that we are all well at present I recivd your letter by the hand of Mr Barks father is verry porley his nose still continues to get worse yesterday it commceed bleeding, + bleed a great deal + last night he was not abil to situp or turn him self in the bead his nose is a great deal worse than when you was hear + I think if you expect to see him before he dies you had better come Immediately if you posibely can for I do not think from all appearences he can Stand it but avery Sort time come if you can + if not write I must cloes my letter as the mail is amost reddy to start nothing more only wishing to remain your loving + sister until dathe P + L Miner J J + S Nichols
