Grand Jury Indictment for William Obold

              State of Indiana, Monroe County, SS: Monroe Circuit Court. Now comes the grand jury for the team aforesaid and present in the open court, the following indictment, to wit: Monroe Circuit Court, November Term, A. D. 1869. The State of Indiana Vs. William F. Obold Indictment for selling after notice. The grand jurors of Monroe County, in the State of Indiana, good and lawful men, duly and legally impaneled, sworn and charge in the Monroe Circuit Court of said State, at the November term, for the year 1869, to inquire into felonies and certain misdemeanors in and for the body of said County of Monroe in the name and by the authority of the State of Indiana, on their oath do present that one William F. Obold, late of said County, on the 14th day of October, S. D. 1869, at said County and State did then and there unlawfully sell intoxicating liquor to one James Slocumb for the sum of ten cents. The said James Slocumb being then and there a person in the habit of being intoxicated. And the said William F. Obold having on the 20th day of August 1869 received notice by William Slocumb the brother of said James Slocumb that said James Slocumb was a person in the habit of being intoxicated.
