POSTOFFICE JOB GOES BEGGING. How the minds of people do change. A month or so ago about half of the town was falling over itself in a scramble for the post-office. Now there isn't anyone that is very much struck on [missing text] Edgar Butcher, it is said received his bond a few days ago and retur-ed it with a letter that he had changed his mind about it and didnt want the job, so a new postmaster has to be hunted up or we will have to get boxes on the rural route. A $20.00 job with a young man with some ambition is too tame or it seems that has been the conclusion with Mr. Butcher. The other two applicants that took the examination are also about out of the notion of wanting it. No woman on her way to buy a new hat was ever known to commit suicide. The Red Men and K of P members will meet to-morrow night and decide on some plan for rebuilding their hall. Now that the fire over, it really was a good thing for the town. The actual losses will not be very heavy and the hall was hardly large enough, so if the lodges rebuild, they will put up a better building and what seemed to be an awful calamity, will likely prove a benefit to the town. OUR Millinery Opening Is Just Over. Everyone is surprised and delighted with the new and modern millinery section and the grand display of hats. Everything from a severely plain sailor to Parisian picture hat. Price Range from $4.00 to $30.00 Campbell & Co. Big Cash Store, Bloomington. Ind.
