I FRIDAY, APRIL 15, 1938  NO. 14  GO TO CHURCH EASTER   Commencment To Be Held April 29   The Dale High School will hold it's 18th Annual Commencement in the gymnasium on Friday evening, April 29. Rev. C. H. Ivy, a former pastor of the U. B. Church will be the speaker. He will speak on the subject, "Launching Out". The high school band and choral will also have part in the program. The Baccalaureate service will be held on Sunday night, April 24, with a former graduate and a native of the Campground, Rev. Albert Schmitt of Seymour M. E. Church, as speaker His subject will be, "The Larger Life".  This will be the largest graduating class that has ever left Dale High School. There are thirty-six members in all.  The members of the class are: Mary Ann Brooner, Charles Brown, Charles Dike, Gemma Elliott, Paul Elliott, Louis Frey, Albert Griepenstroh, Cecil Griffith, Wilford Holtzman, Violet Hubers, Morris Jarboe, Lois Keatzel, Henrietta Kanzler, Frances Lubbehusen, Rosella Ludwig, Elmer Marquet, Merry Jane Medcalf, Dorothy Meyer, Evelyn Michel, Herbert Nord, Ruth Reinhart, Walter Ritchie, Jr. Edward Rupprecht, Helen Scheerle, Ervin Schnuck, Lorena Schum, Walter Singer, Ellis Southwood, Alfred Spayd, Joe Sprinkle, Velma Varner, Louie Wahl, Saloma Wahl, Elisabeth Weller, Charles Wissel and Fae Witte.   UNITED BRETHREN CHURCH REV. JAMES T. McCLARY, MINISTER  Sunrise service Easter Sunday morning at 6 a. m. Prof. C. M. Sprinkle will bring the message, that will be inspirational and uplifting. You are invited to come to this early service and receive a blessing.  Unified Worship Service at 9 a. m. There mill be a program with every Sunday school class taking part. The attendance has been very good at every service. PASTOR  The ceremonies of Holy Saturday are very solemn and elaborate. They are really the beginning of the Easter celebration. On Holy Saturday the baptismal water, the new fire from which the sanctuary lamp is lighted and the Paschal candle are blessed. The Litany of the Saints is sung and the joys of the approaching Resurrection are indicated in the white vestments, the music of the organ which was silenced from Holy Thursday on and the ringing of the bells which also were not rung since Holy Thursday. The purple veils are removed from the statues and at noon the Lenten fasting and abstinence are over.  Easter is the most important feast in the Church year. It is the climax to which every thing leads. It commemorates the most glorious event of onr Savior's life. The Resurrection is the great proof of His Divinity.  It is the foundation of Faith. TENOR  Theodore Lubbehusen and Carl Roos    FOR SALE  Clara Hile has a second hand range and a White sewing machine that she will sell at a bargain.  Born to Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kaiser on Thursday, April 7, a fine 8 1/2 lb boy that received the name of Roger Allen. Harry Thompson of  Evansville, brother Miss Grace Thompson, visited here Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Wes. Kemper and son Orlando, of Evansville visited with his mother and other relatives Sunday.  First Lieutenant Robert W. Scott of Ft. Knox, Ky. spent the week end with his mother and brother, Amelia Scott and Leslie. He also visited his brother, Ford Scott and wife.  DIRECTRESS  Mrs. Martin Lubbehusen. Acolytes for the High Mass are, Charles Snyder, Ralph and Ervin Seifert, Vernon Nord Louis Lubbehusen, Robert Herr, Wallace Nord and Leander Tempel.
