Capt. Edgar A. Dorner
Chaplain, 159th Ord. Bn.
Fort Knox, Kentucky
Dear Chaplain Dorner:
May I thank you personally, and also for the entire party from Speed which visited Fort Knox on October 15th for the hospitality you extended to us. I realize the great amount of work you did in arranging for our entertainment and I do appreciate it.
The girls and chaperones all enjoyed the trip and are still talking about it. I hope to bring them back for another visit at some later date.
Since I do not know Jack's last name I cannot write him. Will you please tell him that we appreciated his share in making our visit so enjoyable.
If Jack or any of the other boys in your area would like to come to our next party for service men on Saturday and Sunday, October 28-29, we will be glad to have them. They must go to the USO at the YMCA, Third and Broadway, on or before Saturday afternoon and ask to be included in the party for Speed which is made up there.
If you find it possible to visit Speed at any time we will be happy to see you.
Sincerely,
Jesse G. Dorsey
