DEAR CORPORAL:
YOUR LETTER WRITTEN FROM ENGLAND WAS MUCH APPRECIATED. YOU REALLY MUST HAVE HAD A NICE ATLANTIC CROSSING--NOT MUCH LIKE THE ONE I HAD DURING THE LAST WAR. I, TOO, WAS IMPRESSED WITH ENGLAND AND THOUGHT IT A VERY BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY. I LANDED IN GLASGOW, SCOTLAND, AND TRAVELED BY TRAIN TO WINCHESTER, ENGLAND, SO I SAW QUITE A BIT OF THE COUNTRY FROM THE TRAIN WINDOWS.
ALL OF US HERE IN SPEED WERE GLAD TO KNOW YOU ENJOYED YOUR WEEKEND SPENT HERE, AND TO KNOW THAT EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE NOW IN FAR-OFF ENGLAND, YOU REMEMBER US AND WERE KIND ENOUGH TO WRITE.
WE HOPE YOU CAN VISIT SPEED AGAIN SOME DAY.
SINCERELY,
JESSE G. DORSEY
JGD:LD
