Eastern Howard Community
Schools is inviting all residents
of the district to participatein a
series of three " Choose
Eastern! " meetings beginning
Thursday, February 20, at 7
p. m. in the high school main
gymnasium. Follow- upmeetings
will be conducted on two
Thursday, March 20 and April
17, also at 7 p. m. in the high
school main gym.
The purpose of the meetings is
to involve as many Eastern
Howard citizens as possible to
examine all aspects of the school
environment, i n c l u d i n g
c u r r i c u l u m , f a c i l i t i e s ,
equipment, personnel, and
community relations. Ultimately,
participants will identify the
district's top priorities and
report them to the community
and to the Eastern Howard
school board.
The recruitment phase of the
" Choose Eastern!" campaign is
being called " The Eastern 500,"

Sesquicentennial
Excitement Growing
All seven committee heads met with the Greentown
Sesquicentennial Executive Committee on January 22. Several have
selected some committee members and are beginning to consider
details. With less than eighteen months until the celebration of
June 11- 14,1998, energy is building among the volunteers. Many
more volunteers are needed. Bonnie Bonebrake, 62- 73 19, welcomes
