The Greentown Volume 9, Issue 12 " a paperfor the people" December 2002 Sewer Work on North Meridian A portion of North Meridian Street in front of the City Building was torn up for about a week in early November as work was done to separate the sanitary and storm sewer water. This is part of an on- going effort by the town to make corrections on both private and public property to separate any remaining combined outflow. These efforts are hoped to allow the town to be removed from a ban on additional sewer hookups. The ban was imposed by IDEM in spring 1997 when there were too many instances of raw sewage entering the Wildcat. The original brick street was revealed under the pavement.
