The high school and middle school art show isMarch the 18th from 6- 8 PM in
the cafeteria. It is free and open to the public. Rehearsals for “ Annie”
Jamie Fansler and Heather Childs and the chorus of Orphans rehearse for the
EHSSpring Musical, “ Annie“. The musical will be presented March 28 and 29 at
7: 30 p. m. in the Eastern Howard Performing Arts Center. Tickets go on sale
-- March 17 at $ 5 for students and $ 8 for adults. They may be purchased at the

On June 13th, 1903, the residents of
Greentown awoke to find the Indiana
Tumbler and Goblet Company glass
factory was on fire and would
eventually burn down completely. The
end of an era of glass making in
Greentown was over. This year marks
the 100th year since the factory burned
down.
To commemorate this event a
Heritage Day Festival with be held on
June 14th, 2003 at the Howard County
4- H Fairgrounds from 9 AM until 4
PM. The event will be sponsored by
the Greentown Glass Museum. Events
to be held include the Annual Antique
Show, Flea Market, Craft show, Food
Venders, town wide yard sales, and
possibly an Antique Car show or
Cruise- in. In addition, the Greentown
Historical society will have people
dressed up in period costume
discussing this tragic event and other.

activities are being planned and
information will be disseminated as
soon as known.
All local churches and other local
non- profit organizations are urged to
join in and make this a truly
Greentown family fun day. More
