That special person will be selected by the Fountain Committee from nominations received from the public. To nominate, write a letter naming the person you wish to nominate and give reasons why you believe that person should be so honored. Include your name and contact information. Address to Fountain Committee, Greentown Utility Office, P. O. Box 247, Greentown, IN 46936 or deliver to the Utility Office, 112 N. Meridian St. Deadline is May 15. by Jeanie Sozansky Busy Beyond Belief The majority of students at Eastern are involved in a variety of extracurricular activities, which can keep them very busy. There are so many to choose from, allowing everyone the chance to use their God- given talents. Sean Horoho thinks extracurricular activities are " fun," which is a word that most teenagers would not use to describe school. Sean says, " Whether it's sports, church, or academic activities, each one provides a unique opportunity to grow as a person." There are academic teams, drama club, Spanish club, chess club, and National Honor Society, just to name a few. Eastern also has an orchestra program and many varieties of choir and band if music is your thing. There is an array of sports to choose from at Eastern, top. Not to mention, a significant number of teenagers have jobs on top of all the other things they can do. School takes up almost eight hours a day, five days a week, not counting homework time. So, how do students at Eastern find time to do so many Sometimes teenagers need to focus their attention on something other than school. It is important to take a break once and awhile and do something you enjoy. Joelle Youmans comments, " When you are in clubs and other after- school activities, you can have fun learning about what the group does while being yourself. You also don't have to worry about grades, which is good." Being busy can also help keep teens out of trouble, which parents certainly do not mind. That is if teenagers are busy doing good things that their parents approve. There is a balance that must be kept, though. If students get too busy, problems can arise. For one thing, parents may not enjoy hauling their children all over the place, unless their kids can drive themselves. Then, it is not such a on Highway
