The new Family Dollar store
opened its doors November
30. In addition to this new
buriness, Greentown may
experience more growth in the
future. Town Council

Council at their November
regular meeting that he was
approached by a company out
of Kalamazoo, Michigan that
may want to open a store on
the east side town. He
explained the business would
be similar to a Dollar General
store. Two days ‘ later, he was
contacted by a gentleman from
Sheridan who expressed
interest in part of the “ Reed
property”, a parcel on 2 I3 and
highway 35. This particular
area is annexed residential and
would require rezoning to B1
or 132 for a restaurant and strip
mall, if plans proceed. Harris
said Greentown could see
more proposals for annexation
once the sewer ban with IDEM
is lifted.
The Town Council wil
consider a request by Designec
Structures, Inc. of Sheridan
Ind. for annexation of thc
property at 104 S. Maple St
( SE corner of the intersectioi
of US 35 and SR 213) on Dec
