About this collection

The Hamilton East Public Library collection contains digitized materials that depict and preserve the history of Hamilton County in general and Noblesville, in particular.

The Noblesville Mayor Docket Books record the early court cases heard by the mayors of Noblesville beginning in 1887 through 1950.  As these books were being digitized, an earlier docket book dating 1879 was found and added to the collection.  It recorded court cases heard by various Hamilton County judges before the city of Noblesville became incorporated as a city.

The Adolph Mueller World War I Collection is in three parts: his scrapbook and two personal diaries.  The scrapbook  and diaries document Adolph Mueller's U. S. Army service between 1918 and 1919.

The 1923 Hamilton County Centennial Celebration contains 88 photographs taken by Dr. Earl Brooks, a Noblesville dentist.  To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the settlement of Hamilton County, Indiana, the nine townships planned a two-day celebrations for October 3 and 4, 1923.
